Welcome Welcome to Saint Albans Church, the First Reformed Episcopal Church. We hold to the faith and traditions of the historic church. We are a welcoming church, open to those who are already believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and to those who are seeking to know more about Him.
Saint Albans was founded in 1874 and is located in the heart of historic Murray Hill. We invite you to join our vibrant community as we seek to know and do the will of God in our part of the world.
Mission
We are an evangelistic community, actively engaged in spreading the Gospel message to all around us. In addition to worship opportunities throughout the week, we gather in a variety of contexts and locations for prayer, study, fun, and fellowship. Children are a special focus of our ministry. Our ministry to adults includes opportunities for weekly Bible Study, special mid-week book discussion groups, as well as a Friday fellowship group.
Our People
Our congregation is made up of a diverse group of people from various places, backgrounds and traditions. We are young and old, married and single, native New Yorkers and newcomers to the city. We represent cultural traditions from Africa, the Carribbean, the United Kingdom, Europe and North America. Some of us are life-long Anglicans, while many come from a variety of worship experiences. We are a community of people coming together in love, fellowship and worship, all in the name of the Lord Jesus.
