Considering the recommendations of various health and government agencies, we believe it is important for the wider Church to support the mitigation of the COVID-19 pandemic to protect and save lives.
As believers in Jesus Christ we are called to, “Love our neighbor.” Saint Albans Church has, therefore, decided to suspend its normal activities and become a "virtual church" for the foreseeable future.
Beginning Sunday, March 22, our services and other activities will go online in an effort to reduce the possibility of further spread of the disease.
Rest assured, however, the the people of Saint Albans will be making every effort to bring the love of Christ to our neighbourhood in other charitable ways. As a result, we welcome those who are in need, or those who know of others in need, to contact us to see if there is some way we might help.
In the meantime, we join with Saint Paul in proclaiming that "neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, or things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will ever separate us from the love of God in our Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans 8.38-39)
Please, therefore, join us at our "Virtual Church" to participate in online worship, prayer, and Bible Study.

Welcome Welcome to Saint Albans Church, the First Reformed Episcopal Church. We hold to the faith and traditions of the historic church. We are a welcoming church, open to those who are already believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and to those who are seeking to know more about Him.
Saint Albans was founded in 1874 and is located in the heart of historic Murray Hill. We invite you to join our vibrant community as we seek to know and do the will of God in our part of the world.
We are an evangelistic community, actively engaged in spreading the Gospel message to all around us. In addition to worship opportunities throughout the week, we gather in a variety of contexts and locations for prayer, study, fun, and fellowship. Children are a special focus of our ministry. Our ministry to adults includes opportunities for weekly Bible Study, special mid-week book discussion groups, as well as a Friday fellowship group.
Our congregation is made up of a diverse group of people from various places, backgrounds and traditions. We are young and old, married and single, native New Yorkers and newcomers to the city. We represent cultural traditions from Africa, the Carribbean, the United Kingdom, Europe and North America. Some of us are life-long Anglicans, while many come from a variety of worship experiences. We are a community of people coming together in love, fellowship and worship, all in the name of the Lord Jesus.
